Maria Louise McCormick

Maria Louise (Alibrandi) McCormick, of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2025, at the age of 81, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Maria was employed for many years at Filene’s/Macy’s Department Stores, where she formed lifelong friendships, she treasured deeply. In her free time, she was an avid crafter, seamstress, and crocheter, always creating thoughtful handmade gifts for family and friends. Maria was also a longtime supporter of St. Ann’s Parish in Quincy and enjoyed spending time at the Kennedy Senior Center, where she valued the sense of community and friendship. Above all, Maria cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren. Her warmth, creativity, strength, and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late John Andrew McCormick. She was a devoted and loving mother to Lisa Munn and her husband Tim of Wrentham, Lori LaDuke and her husband Kevin of Millis, and Scott McCormick and his wife Amy of Weymouth. She was a proud and adoring Nana to Peter and Philip Munn, Jonathan and Katherine LaDuke, and Andrew McCormick, who brought her immeasurable joy. She was the cherished sister of Joseph Alibrandi of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Robert Alibrandi of Rockland, Massachusetts, and the late Angela Mullins. Maria also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, including Louise Mullins and Victoria and Elizabeth Greenleaf.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 9:30–10:30 AM. at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy, followed by a Celebration of Life service at the funeral home, prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Quincy, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria may be made to St. Ann’s Church, Quincy. Donations may be mailed to the office of Divine Mercy Parish, 383 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02171.
