Marion Hogan Campanelli passed away peacefully July 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Raised in Newton, Massachusetts. A graduate of Mass General Hospital School of Nursing. She furthered her education graduating with a B.S. in psychology from Bridgewater State College and continued her studies at Bridgewater State College, graduating with a Masters degree in health education. She worked in various fields of nursing, including hospitals and public health. While employed at The Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, she received the “Agency’s Pride in Excellence Award for Clinical Excellence”. She was known for her sense of humor, quick wit, and compassion for others. She was an enthusiast who loved life, laughter, family, friends, skiing, swimming, camping, and traveling. As an avid skier, she enjoyed skiing all over Europe, the US, and Canada. She also enjoyed white water rafting, riding in a hot air balloon, snorkeling, and hiking. She was the president of the Old Colony PM Club, where she performed and danced in many of the club’s show productions. Later in her life, she moved to Linden Ponds in Hingham. While living there, she established a local chapter of the Red Hat Society, where she was Queen Bee. Marion was a member of the Irish Club, Italian Club, Book Club, and Registered Nurse Club.
The beloved wife of the late Thomas Hogan and the late Joseph Campanelli. Loving mother of Kathleen Trimbell and her husband Linnell, Maura Flipp and her husband Mike, Stacey Burlingame and her husband Michael, and the late Alison Hogan and Bryan Hogan. Loving stepmother to Lisa Rose and her husband Paul, Kevin Campanelli and his wife Maria, and Kenneth Campanelli. Cherished sister of the late John O’Brien and his wife Helen, Gordon O’Brien and his wife Marge, and William O’Brien and his wife Jean. Loving Nana of Shayne Trimbell and his wife Karen, Kelley Weaver and her husband Hank, Andrea Owen and her husband Kevin, Bryan Flipp and his wife Ashley, Jacques Thomas Chedid, and Courtney Zwaan and her husband Nicholas. “Super Nana” to 8 great-grandchildren. Also loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 7/21/2025 from 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to aRosie’s Place, 889 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118 or a charity of your choosing.
