Marion Keen, 91, lived a life defined by love, faith, and family. Born on September 27, 1933 into a large family in Dorchester, she embraced her roles as daughter, sister, cousin, and aunt with devotion and joy. She cherished her many nieces and nephews, staying closely connected with each of them throughout her life and taking great interest in their lives and accomplishments.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devout Catholic and devoted parishioner of St. Paul’s and the Church of the Resurrection in Hingham, Marion was deeply engaged in her church community. Her days were guided by service, prayer, and kindness, leaving an example of faith lived fully and authentically.
Marion dedicated much of her career to elder services, where she enriched the lives of seniors through recreational programs and companionship. Beyond her work and faith, she was an adventurer at heart. She traveled widely—often alongside the Catholic Alumni Club —and delighted in sharing her journeys through postcards and stories.
Marion will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her boundless curiosity, and her unwavering love for the people in her life.
Loving daughter of the late William E. and Helen L. Keen. Cherished sister of the late William J. Keen, Marie Griffin, Louise Laurenti, Clare Turley, Robert T. Keen, and Thomas J. Keen. Survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday 9/20/2025 from 9-10 AM in the Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main St., Hingham followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion may be made to CatholicTV, PO Box 9196, 34 Chestnut St., Watertown, MA 02471.
