Marion E. King

Marion Elizabeth (Drake) King age 90 formally of Scituate and North Quincy passed away on September 21, 2025 at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Marion was born in Boston on September 1, 1935 to Albert L. and Catherine A. (Borkin) Drake. She was a 1953 graduate of North Quincy High School, and it was there where she met her beloved husband of 68 years Thomas F. King. While Tom was in the Army they moved to Fort Rucker Alabama and eventually settled in North Quincy where they raised their three children.

Marion was an active PTA member while her children were in school. She worked for the phone company and was a long- time loan officer at Colonial Federal Savings Bank. Marion and Tom spent many years boating out of Savin Hill Yacht club with their children, cruising the Caribbean, and sailing the islands with family and friends.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, her beloved grandson Mathew W. King, and her brothers Albert (Sonny) and John Drake.

Today Marion leaves behind her daughter Dianne Piscatelli and her husband Robert, son Michael, son Robert and his wife Paula, granddaughter Molly King and her fiancé Louie Kent, her sisters-in-law Mary and Heather Drake, and several nephews and nieces.

Dianne and Bobby would like to thank the staff and nurses at Queen Anne and Autumn Hospice for their kindness, compassion and care they have provided.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 9/29/2025 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A gathering with be held Tuesday 9/30/2025 at 10 AM at the funeral home before the graveside service at 11 AM at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
