Mary C. (Condon) “Maureen” Dillon, of Weymouth, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Maureen was born in County Cork, Ireland, on January 6, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Desmond) Condon.

Throughout her 90 years, Maureen touched the lives of many. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Her love of learning led her to nursing school after raising eight children. She went on to enjoy a 26-year career as a pediatric nurse at Geiger Gibson Community Health Center. Through her dedication and compassion, she made a lasting impact on the community and on the many local families she cared for throughout her career.

Maureen found great joy in baking, especially when she could share that love with her grandchildren. She was also an avid gardener and took great pride in spending time in the garden. She had a natural talent for sewing and crafts, always finding creative ways to make something special for the people she loved. She was proud of her Irish heritage and cherished the traditions and connection to her homeland. Maureen was always ready to offer advice to her family and friends—whether they asked for it or not. Her kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit made her someone people could always turn to.

Family was the center of Maureen’s life. She treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family, and Christmas was always a particularly special time for her. The traditions, laughter, and togetherness of the holiday created cherished memories that her family will carry with them for years to come.

Maureen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Maureen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Dillon, whom she married in 1956; her sons, Kevin, Peter, and Sean Dillon; and her daughter, Sharon Dillon.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Dillon and his wife, Joanne, of Weymouth; her daughters, Mary Thompson of Brockton, Barbara Dillon of Braintree, Laura Hancock and her husband, John, of Weymouth.

She was also a cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy and pride.

She was the dear sister of Rosaleen Murphy and her late husband, Paul, of Haverhill; Geraldine Strock and her late husband, Samuel, of Swampscott; Brenda Cook and her late husband, David, of Everett; Margie Brackett and her husband, Bob, of Chelmsford; Deirdra Sullivan and her husband, Robert, of Wareham; and the late Jack Condon.

She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 4–7 PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, 809 Main Street (Route 18, opposite South Shore Hospital).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth, at 10 AM.

Services will conclude with interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, at 1:15 PM.
