Mary C. Peters (Greene), 88, longtime resident of Wollaston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, in Roselle, Illinois, surrounded by her family. Mary was born on August 12, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts to parents John and Anna (Reilly) Greene.

Mary graduated from Quincy High School in 1956 and worked for State Street Bank for over 25 years. She enjoyed volunteering at Cradles to Crayons and Interfaith Social Services. She was a long-time parishioner of Saint Ann’s Church in Wollaston, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and singing in the choir. Mary enjoyed bible study, playing cards, live music, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Mary took many trips to Chicago to visit family, and she cherished her vacations to Hilton Head Island.

Mary is survived by her loving children: daughter Annmarie and her husband Denis Rush; son William Jr. and his wife Angie Peters; and son Michael and his wife Anne Peters. She was the proud grandmother to Jonathan and Zachary Rush; Matthew, Brian (Erin), Erin and Nathan Peters; and Ryan, Owen, and Joseph Peters. She was a beloved great-grandmother to Ellie and Bennett Peters. Her memory will be treasured by her sister Elizabeth (William) Gill and her brother James (Ruth) Greene. Mary was a cherished sister-in-law and aunt to many. She was preceded in passing by her husband William Peters, her brother John Greene and her parents.

Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her as she leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion.
