Mary Picot

Mary Kerins Picot, 62, of Quincy, Massachusetts, beloved wife of Stephan Picot, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Massachusetts General Hospital on Tuesday, May 13th. Born on September 20, 1962, in Boston, Mary was a cherished daughter, wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and loyal friend, remembered for her humor and warmth.

Mary was born in Dorchester, raised in Quincy Point, and predeceased by her loving parents, Michael and Ann Kerins, and stepfather Joseph  Kerns. She graduated from Quincy High School and started her career in banking with Quincy Savings Bank and Quincy Credit Union, then worked at Quincy Driving School until her retirement.

Mary and Stephan were high school sweethearts, devoted to each other for over 40 years. Together, they shared many joyful years, often enjoying time at the beach, one of Mary's favorite places. They loved traveling, especially to their West Palm Beach, Florida condo.

Known for her fun-loving spirit and sharp wit, Mary brought joy to everyone around her. She especially loved hosting Christmas Eve for her family, creating a warm and festive tradition that will be deeply missed. Mary shared a special bond with each of her nieces and nephews, who will always remember the laughter, love, and care she brought into their lives. Mary's close group of eight childhood girlfriends will miss her dearly and treasure their fond memories.

Mary is survived by her sisters Ann Eaton and husband Doug of Quincy, Margaret Ebbs and her husband Vernon of North Conway, New Hampshire, and Kathleen Aresenault and her husband Jeffery of Worcester. She was predeceased by her brother, Patrick Kerins of Quincy. She was a vital part of her extended Picot family: Leonard and Carrie of Randolph, David and Gerry of Quincy, and Mark and Diane of Cohasset.
