Mary T. (Lewis) Nevins, of Quincy, passed away on April 26, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Nevins. Devoted mother to Robert “Bobby” Nevins of Quincy, Brian P. Nevins and his wife Clare of Hull, Michael K. Nevins and his wife Susan of Braintree, Amy Gonzales and her husband Michael of Weymouth and the late Maryellen McElman and her husband Tom of Hanover. Sister of Robert Lewis and his wife Jean of Braintree, Dolores Golden and her late husband Peter. The late Paul Lewis and his wife MaryEllen of Quincy, the late Wilbur B. Lewis and his wife Anne and Jacqueline Saunders of Carver. Cherished grandmother of Kathleen Klimm and her husband Donny, Patrick Nevins and his wife Jennie, the late Megan Rose Nevins, Michaela Nevins, Mitchell Nevins and his fiance Mary, Emily Apicella and her wife Nicole, Hannah, Alissa and Leahrose. Great Grandmother of Mary, Teddy, Rosie, Evelyn and Andrew Michael. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary loved to travel, she found great enjoyment at the beach. She was a talented dancer and truly loved to dance with her late husband Patrick. Mary enjoyed dancing in the many minstrel shows she participated in throughout the years. On Wednesday’s you could find Mary playing cards- she enjoyed being around her friends. Faith and family where the cornerstone of her life. She will be remembered as a devout catholic who took pride in raising her family with integrity and a strong work ethic. Her life was marked by her dedication to her son Bobby, she made sure he was well cared for at all times. She made it her mission to make sure he lived a full and happy life. Those who knew Mary, knew her kindness, her dedication, her resilience and her quiet determination to help others. Although Mary is no longer with us, her legacy is woven into all the lives she touched along the way. She was a blessing to all those who knew her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026 prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
