Maura Monahan

Monahan, Maura of Weymouth, passed away on August 16, 2025. She was 84 years old.

She was born in Brockton to the late John and Myrtle (Baillie) Monahan.

Maura was a teaching nun for a number of years until left she the convent to pursue a lay career in education. She later was married to John "Joe" Harrington for 39 years until his passing in 2018. Maura was an avid dog lover, having a few in her years with Joe. She was also a lover and believer in the miracles of Nature.

Maura's siblings Joan Cantwell, and Jane, John, and Peter Monahan predeceased her. She is survived by a niece, 3 nephews, and extended family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11 AM at Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
