Mrs. Maureen Ruth Sullivan Ferrisi, of Plymouth, formerly of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on August 8, 2026. She was 75.
Born and raised in Weymouth, a daughter of the late Ruth Haines Sullivan, Maureen settled down to raise her family in Plymouth with her late husband Alfred.
In Plymouth, Maureen’s warm and friendly personality created a loving community for herself and her four children. She was known to be the first to welcome new families to the neighborhood and always opened her home to friends and family. Maureen made friends wherever she went and greeted everyone with a kindness and sense of humor that will be missed.
On top of the many jobs Maureen had over the years at places like South Elementary School, the Hallmark Store, and PartyLite, Maureen was a talented crafter. Her collections of scarves, hats, baby blankets, sweaters, socks, and toys expertly knitted and crocheted were always gifted with love. The various projects she has gifted to friends and families will be cherished forever.
Beloved wife of the late Alfred Ferrisi.
Loving mother of Amanda Porter and her husband, David, of Willow Spring, NC; Greg Ferrisi and his wife, Dawn, of North Attleboro, MA; Jonathan Ferrisi of Plymouth, MA; and Alison Irving and her husband, Bryan, of Burbank, CA. Sister of Kathleen Abruzese and her late husband, Louis Jr, of Halifax, and Kevin and his late wife Grace, of Weymouth. Grandmother of Evelyn, Christopher, Nicholas, Emma, Drew, Conor, and Abigail.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday August 21, 2026 from 9-11 am in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
