Michael Gratta

Beloved son of Joseph J. Sr. and Rose V. (Nardo) Gratta of Hingham. Former husband of Kathleen. Loving father of Michael, Alyson, and Kathryn Gratta of Hanover. Cherished brother of Joseph J. Gratta, Jr. of Quincy, Pamela J. Rowell of Pembroke, Maria C. Pagnani of Hanson, Judith Gratta-Barkas of Hingham, and the late Mark S. Gratta. Dear nephew of Angelina Nardo, Philomena Fuda, and Barbara Nardo. Special godfather of Kenneth Rowell, III, Mark Gratta, Jr., and the late Kenneth Rowell, Jr. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael may be made to Gratta Children Educational Trust, c/o Hingham Institution for Savings, 401 Nantasket Ave., Hull, MA 02045. Michael was very family oriented, had a great sense of humor and loved to talk to everyone on the phone. Michael loved cars and trucks. Michael coached Pop Warner Football in Hingham. He also helped out coaching football in Marshfield. Michael was also a member of the Local 4 Union. Michael was a self employed contractor.
