Miriam Marie (McClune) Salvaggi, of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, died unexpectedly in her home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was 72.
Miriam was born on January 28, 1953, and was the daughter of the late David B. and Miriam A. (Perry) McClune. She was raised in Braintree, attended local schools and graduated from Braintree High School. Following graduation, Miriam attended Quincy Junior College, where she earned her associates degree.
Miriam will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and deep love for the people in her life. She found great joy in traveling, especially in visiting friends in Florida, where laughter, sunshine, and meaningful connections made every trip special.
Above all, Miriam cherished time spent with family and friends. She valued togetherness and created memories that will be held close by all who knew her.
Music and dancing were among her greatest joys. They reflected her lively personality and her ability to find happiness in the moment. Miriam also took great pride in her loyalty to Boston sports, cheering passionately for the Patriots and all Boston teams.
Miriam’s kindness, energy, and love of life will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Miriam was the beloved wife of the late Richard Salvaggi, with whom she shared many loving years. She was the devoted sister of David McClune of Weymouth and the late Florence McClune. She is also survived by many loving extended family members, and dear friends.
Following cremation, Miriam's funeral services will be celebrated privately at a later date, to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Miriam's name to the charitable organization of one's choice.
