Monica Lynch, 59, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2026. Born on Oct ober 3, 1966, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Mary Lynch.

Raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Monica graduated from Weymouth North High School before continuing her education at Becker College. She devoted nearly 40 years of her life to caring for animals as a veterinary technician, a profession that perfectly reflected her compassionate heart. She spent most of her career at Old Derby Animal Hospital in Hingham and VCA in Weymouth and also worked at Pine Woods Animal Hospital. Monica's dedication to animal care left a lasting impact on her colleagues, clients, and the countless pets whose lives she helped improve.

Outside of work, Monica found joy in life's quieter moments. She was an avid reader who could always be found with a good book. She had a deep love for animals, especially the many cats and dogs she fostered over the years, opening both her home and her heart to those in need. Her kindness toward animals was unwavering, and she believed everyone deserved love, patience, and care.

Though naturally quiet, thoughtful, and reserved, Monica possessed a remarkable sense of independence and adventure. She traveled the world on her own terms, visiting destinations such as Australia and enjoying an unforgettable Alaskan cruise. Her travels reflected her quiet courage and curiosity about the world.

Monica will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering compassion, and lifelong commitment to the well being of animals. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives, both human and animal, that she touched through her kindness and dedication.

Monica is survived by her loving brothers Michael and his wife Mary Ellen of Norton and Brian and his wife Brandie of Halifax. Cherished aunt to  Alison Burrill of Weymouth MA, Connor Lynch, Denver CO, Kristin Lynch, Norton MA, Jack Lynch and Sara Lynch, Halifax MA. Grand niece Colette Burrill.

Monica's sudden passing is a profound loss to all who loved her, but her kindness, quiet strength, and boundless compassion for animals will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 7/21/2026 from 10-12 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday 7/21/2026 at 12 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.
