Nicholas Paul DiLoreto, a cherished husband, father and pillar of strength, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and unwavering spirit. Born and raised in Quincy, MA, Nick called Hingham, MA, home for over 35 years, where he built a life rich with devotion and joy.
Nick re-joins his beautiful and loving wife, Carol, of Quincy and Hingham, whose memory he held dear. He is survived by his children, Paul and his wife Mary Kate, Joanne (Zine) and her husband Edward III, and David and his wife Kerry, as well as his six beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Marissa, Victoria, Brieanna, Edward IV, Sophia, and Caden. His siblings Paula and Adio will dearly miss him and his longtime companion, Theresa Melchin, also mourns his loss.
Known for his deep love of family, Nick’s Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition, uniting loved ones around his table with warmth and laughter. His strength, both physical and inner, was matched only by his passion for football, which he played with distinction at Quincy High School and The Citadel, excelling on both offense and defense. His athletic prowess earned him a place in the Quincy High School Hall of Fame. A proud Army veteran, Nick served with honor in Korea, embodying courage and duty. His heart also belonged to the ocean, where he found solace in boating and the boundless horizon.
A wake will be held at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, MA, on Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday at 10 AM at Pyne Keohane, with a burial following at Hingham Cemetery to honor Nick’s vibrant spirit.
Nick’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, forever anchored in love and the joy of shared moments.
