Patricia Ann Davidson

Patricia Ann (McGuire) Davidson, of Kingston, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at The Guardian Center Nursing Home in Brockton. She was 74.

Patricia was born on December 19, 1949 to the late Edward and Althea (Helms) McGuire. Born and raised in Quincy, she attended Quincy public schools where she met the love of her life, John, who would later become her devoted husband of 54 years. She began her career at John Hancock before leaving the workforce to devote herself to her family. Patricia’s warmth and gentle demeanor made her a natural caretaker from who many had the good fortune of benefiting; her husband, children, grandchildren, and the many animals she welcomed into her home. Her legacy of dedication and devotion to family will live on in future generations (as will her carrot cake recipe that marked many a special occasion throughout the years).

With her signature quiet strength and fortitude, Patricia courageously persevered through life’s challenges. Always at her side, her beloved John who is true love personified. Patricia is also survived by her son John “Jed” Davidson and his wife Molly of Milton, Kate Strassel and her husband Chris of East Bridgewater, and Erin Davidson and her partner George Enos of Rhode Island. Patricia was the doting grandmother of Justin Hester of Rhode Island, Sara and Matthew Strassel, both of East Bridgewater, Marygrace and Maeve Davidson, both of Milton. She was the treasured sister of Noreen Deacon and her spouse William of Middleboro, and is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Patricia’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at The Guardian Center for the kindness, compassion and support they provided this last year. We are comforted knowing that Patricia is at peace – surrounded by animals, People magazine in hand and something chocolate in short reach.

Patricia’s funeral services and interment will be held privately.
