Patricia “Patsy” “Pat” Leona Green Racette peacefully passed away on June 21, 2025 in her home in Kingston, MA surrounded by her loved ones following a long illness of Parkinson’s Disease. She was born on May 20, 1929 in Boston, MA and resided in Quincy, MA for most of her life until moving to Kingston, MA in 2021.
Patricia married her late husband Richard Racette in 1957 and they raised their three children together Kevin, Lisa, and Steve. Patricia worked for the Bank of America for 20 years. In her retirement she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going for walks, wearing stylish clothes, and doing chores around the house. Patricia had a flair for clothes. She loved hats and scarfs, and
said accessories enhance any outfit. Patricia was known to be a great story teller, witty, brutally honest, and glamorous. She also loved sweets and her weight never fluctuated! She always encouraged her grandkids to study hard and they will achieve their goals and nothing is unattainable. Patricia loved Cranberry Hospice as they took such good care of her and they showed great compassion towards her family during a difficult time.
Patricia is survived by her 2 children Lisa and Steve, her son in law Jack, her daughter in law Sharon, and 4 grandchildren Ryan, Eric, Melissa, and Megan and her husband Shawn. She is also survived by her 4 siblings: Connie, Donna, Donny, and Rosie. She is further survived by her best friends Birdy and Jerry and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband
Richard, her son Kevin, her father Francis Green, her mother Ethel McCashin, and her 3 siblings Bill, Louise, and Jimmy. Patricia would have welcomed her first great grandchild this August and we know she will be watching over baby girl Collins.
A service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, beginning with visitations at 8:30 AM at Keohane Funeral Home in Quincy, MA. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church. Burial will take place afterward at Pine Hill Cemetery.
