Patrick A. Foley, of Hingham, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. He was 92.
Patrick had lived in Dorchester and Quincy before moving to Hingham 35 years ago. He was a painter by trade and a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed the comfort of home. In his spare time, Patrick enjoyed working on and fixing old cars, especially his two Jaguars, and attending car shows. He could often be found watching a good golf match or a race car show on television.
Candy—especially chocolate—was Patrick’s favorite treat, and he was always happy to share. He had a wonderful sense of humor and often enjoyed laughing at his own jokes.
His grandchildren will always remember that they could never leave the house without giving him a handshake goodbye.
Patrick loved his family and, in return, he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of the late Valerie (Bates) Foley.
Loving father of Patrick M. Foley and his wife, Donna, of Pembroke; Sean E. Foley and his wife, Patricia, of Hingham; Wayne J. Foley and his wife, Sarah, of Rochester; and Carrie M. Williams and her fiancé, Robert Workman, of Pembroke.
Brother of Catherine Goodall and Margaret Clarke and her husband, Ken, all of England.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4–7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, NORTH WEYMOUTH, at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth, at 10:30 AM.
Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
