Paul E. Skinner, of No. Weymouth, was peacefully called back to the Lord surrounded by loved ones on November 13, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Sheila (Magee) Skinner.
He was a veteran on the USAF Strategic Air Command, serving honorably during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a loyal member and officer of Knights of Columbus, active participant in their charitable efforts and former President of the North Weymouth Civic Association. Paul spent his career as a Procurement Director for various military contractors and Biotech firms, as well as the Smithsonian Institute. During his career he contributed to the development, launch and maintenance of the Hubble Space Telescope, plus many other innovations.
He will be greeted in Heaven by friends and family as well as his beloved dogs, Redmond and Molly.
In addition to his wife Sheila, Paul is survived by sons Michael Skinner of Weymouth and Paul Skinner of Plymouth, brothers James of Stoughton and Donald of New Jersey, niece Jessica of New Jersey and brother-in-law George Magee of Dennis, MA.
Visiting hours will be from 3 to 6pm on Sunday, November 16th at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 3 Charles Street, E. Weymouth, MA 02189. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Jeromes, 632 Bridge Street, Weymouth, MA.
