Paul Douglas Juster, proud veteran, devoted and beloved husband, father, brother, "Grandpa," partner, and steadfast friend, passed peacefully away on March 22, 2026, in the company of his loved ones after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 29, 1950, to the late Joseph and Margaret (Holt) Juster, Paul was raised in Braintree, Massachusetts and raised his own family in neighboring Weymouth, Massachusetts before he, Ruthie, and their loyal lab Nika, moved to Naples, Florida, where days were filled with treasured friends, Red Sox spring training games, beach walks, and bike rides. Not long after Ruthie's own cancer journey ended in 2022, Paul moved to Miami, to be closer to Bradley, Paul, Mimi, and her loving family. Paul dedicated his life to service, sacrifice, and charity. Too soon after his high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Army, fought in Vietnam, and served for 20 years in the Massachusetts National Guard. Like his parents, he was longtime employee of "The Telephone Company." In Florida, Paul continued his career in the now deregulated telecommunications industry with various upstart phone companies, while usually keeping a second job in retail or at a golf course. 

Since making his first buck as a Patriot Ledger paper boy, Paul loved to work and take pride in a job well done.Paul blossomed as an adoring husband and dad. He and his wife Ruthie, raised daughter, Jennifer, and son, Paul, in a home filled with love, laughter, and a massive and massively unruly dalmatian named Calypso. Jennifer and her husband, Don Gleason, and Paul and his fiancée, Mimi Marenco, will deeply miss Paul's support, love and dedication to his family. Mimi and Paul's son, Bradley, will especially miss the joyful moments with Grandpa - playing games, kicking balls, laughing together, and grabbing his glasses as Grandpa chased him in knee pads. Paul's siblings — the late Dorene Walsh (John), Mark Juster (Donna), and Joe Juster (Anne), will remember young Paul as a strong-willed, no nonsense, big brother who rounded into a supportive (though still the big) brother and a fun, generous uncle. Each respects the challenges Paul overcame to become the man that he was—strong, responsible, humble, and kind, just a good guy, and an "easy hang," after all.

Known for his unwavering commitment, Paul was always ready with a helping hand. His work colleagues, family and friends could always count on him. He generously gave his time and talents to youth sports programs, schools, and other charitable organizations, leaving a lasting impact on many lives. Those closest to Paul will remember his quick, often self-deprecating wit and dry sense of humor—qualities he carried with him until the very end, endearing him to his medical care teams and inspiring his family.Paul loved life's simple pleasures - family cookouts, beach sunsets, long walks and bike rides, time on the golf course, watching sports with friends and family, a cocktail with appetizers (or "pickies" as he called them) at happy hour, and in later years, relaxing Caribbean cruises with his partner, Joanie Moogan-Zuckerman. Though he loved to share joy with others, Paul was never one for the spotlight.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11-2pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A military service will be held at 2pm in the funeral home honoring Paul's service to his country.   In the meantime, raise a glass to Paul D. Juster and to a full life, well lived.
