Pedro “Peter” Flores, of Halifax, passed away on August 22, 2026. He was 78 years old.

Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Pedro Flores and AnaDelia Rodriguez Santiago.

Peter came to New York City with his mother at the age of four. He grew up with strong values of family, hard work, perseverance, and gratitude. He earned a Master’s Degree from Brown University, where he also played football as a running back.

Peter was self-employed as an Electrical contractor and was known for his strong work ethic, skill, and reliability. He lived an active life and enjoyed golf, biking, running, and karate, earning a black belt. He also had the unique experience of training with Muhammad Ali during the 1960s and 1970s.

Peter loved music, especially oldies and Spanish music, and enjoyed dancing. He also loved traveling, particularly to Puerto Rico, Cancun, and Florida.

Above all, Peter cherished his family. His kindness, humor, and warm personality made him a special presence to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his strength, accomplishments, love of life, and most importantly, his love and devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Peter is survived by his former wife, Barbara Flores of Weymouth. Father of Amanda Flores and her spouse Keenen and David Flores and his fiancé Corrina. Father figure to Billy and Sean. Grandfather to Brittany, Alexandria, David, Mariah, Shania, Mychel, Jerico, AnaDelia, Jalitzia, and Amos. Brother to Karmen, Mary Jane, and Iris.

Funeral service will be celebrated on September 12, 2026 at 2:30 in the New England Baptist Church, 560 N Main Street, West Bridgewater. Donations in Peter’s name may be made to The ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd, Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
