Peggy Ann King, of Marshfield, formerly a longtime resident of Quincy, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was 67.
She was born in Boston to Barbara (Foley) and Peter King and raised in Dorchester. In her teens, she moved to Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School. After graduating, she worked at Stone and Webster for a few years before moving to PA where she started a family. She eventually moved back to Quincy and Earned a position at State Street working as an SQA. She was with State Street for 20 years before she moved to Wolfeboro, NH with her family. After spending 15 years in Wolfeboro, Peggy returned to MA, finding a home in Marshfield. There, she worked as an administrator for Stop and Shop for many years.
In her spare time, Peggy often traveled everywhere she could. If she could find someone to go with her, she was there. When she was home, she often spent time with her daughters, Alyssa and Hayley and her grandson, Lucas. In her downtime, she enjoyed watching NASCAR and football.
Peggy was a force of nature. With her sassy wit, she had a way of making people laugh while also keeping things real. Her honesty made her a trusted friend, someone you could always count on for genuine advice. Whether she was sharing a clever remark or a candid opinion, her vibrant personality lit up any room. Even though she’s no longer with us, her spirit and the memories of her sharp humor and authenticity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Devoted mother to Alyssa Johnson and her husband Greg of Stoughton, and Hayley Hawksley and her partner Christopher of Manchester, NH. Loving sister to Dianne Connell and her husband Peter of Braintree, Jeanne Jordan and her husband Brian of Marshfield, and Steve King of Halifax. Adoring nana to Lucas Johnson of Stoughton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, October 5th, from 9-11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated immediately following the visitation at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
