Peter T. Linnehan, a lifelong resident of Quincy, Massachusetts, passed away on June 12, 2026, at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Born on January 24, 1963, in Quincy, Peter was a dedicated and hard-working individual who proudly served the Quincy Department of Public Works for many years. His commitment to his community and his work was a defining aspect of his life.

Peter's journey was marked by his steadfast devotion to family and friends, who knew him as a kind and loyal presence. He is survived by his brothers: John E. Linnehan of Plymouth, MA; Paul J. Linnehan of Quincy, MA; and Daniel L. Linnehan of Foxboro, MA. He is also survived by Nancy Brennock of Florida, Patricia Collins of Weymouth, and Tara Linnehan of Quincy, MA, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Deshler; his brother, Michael Linnehan; his parents, John Linnehan; and Barbara Linnehan (Ruger), whose memories he cherished deeply.

Peter’s life reflected the values of dedication, responsibility, and warmth. His contributions to the Quincy community through his work with the DPW were significant, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment. Those who knew Peter remember him for his genuine spirit and unwavering support of those around him.

His passing leaves a profound void among his loved ones and the wider community. Yet, his memory will endure through the many lives he touched and the strong bonds he forged with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 6/23/2026 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday 6/24/2026 at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
