Richard Charles Daniels of Quincy, passed away on November 19, 2025 at the age of 60 after four years of bravely battling cancer.
Rich had a passion for making people happy through food. He cherished his 30 year career as a breakfast chef at Stars on Hingham Harbor before transitioning to Fireking Bakery. He was excited to venture into a new chapter of his career and there he took on a new passion, making bread. He was remarkably hard working and dedicated to his job and his coworkers. Family was the focus of his life. He will be remembered for his unmatched generosity and kindness.
He was the loving and proud father of Carina Daniels of Quincy and his "bonus child" Cassandra Patch. He was the cousin and best friend of Lucy Bean of Quincy. Brother of Catherine Haywood of Quincy, Roseanne Gatto of Indiana, the late Mark Daniels and the late Jimmy Daniels. Cousin of Ralph Blight of Quincy. Uncle of Christopher Gatto, Jasmine Bean, Kimberly Bean, Evan Bean, and Joslyn Sommers. Son of the late Helen and Henry Daniels. Former husband of Melinda Polom. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 11/24/2025 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday 11/25/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
