Richard E. “Buddy” Wesson, Jr., passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2024. Buddy lived most of his adult life in Rockland, where he and his wife raised their daughter. He was a devoted husband and father. A skilled carpenter and plasterer by trade, Buddy enjoyed his work and worked hard. He loved spending time with his family and his best buddy, King, his canine companion. He lost the love of his life Dolores on July 1st, 2003 from cancer. He will be remembered and missed by all his family and friends.
He was the son of the late Richard E. Wesson, Sr. and Gladys I. Wesson of Rockland. He leaves his daughter Cheryl A. Pennini and her husband Gary Pennini of Norton; his grandson Michael Butler of Rockland; his granddaughter Maria Marigliano of Norton; and three great granddaughters: Ava, Kaitlyn, and Emma of Norton. Brother of Gladys I. Studeny of Taunton, the late William J. Ambrose of Worcester, the late Dorma J. Gonser of Westwood, the late Michael V. Ambrose of Carver, the late James L. Wesson of Norton, and the late Deborah J. Hadlock of Webster. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-6:30 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) followed by a service at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Burial at a later date. Donations in memory of Buddy may be made to Norwell VNA and Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
