Armstrong, Robert J. of Hingham, October 19, 2002. Beloved husband of Frances (Henault) Armstrong. Devoted father of Marie Armstrong Cusack of Brighton, Joseph M. of Scituate, James R. and Paul J., both of Melrose, Gerard J. of Osterville, and Robert J. Armstrong, Jr. of Milton. Robert was also the devoted son of the late Cecilia and Burton Armstrong. Brother of James Armstrong of Marshfield, and the late Julia Crowley. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Burial in Couch Cemetery, Marshfield. Robert was a Navy veteran and served on the Carrier Valley Forge in Korea from 1952-1953. He worked as a billing administrator for Boston Edison for 22 years, retiring in 1972.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to St. Paul’s Church Development Fund, 147 North St., Hingham, MA 02043.
