Robert J. Perette

Robert Jay Perette, of East Weymouth passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 69. He faced the last of his “nine-lives”, with the same strength, courage and determination to fight, as he did each one before.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Amy Lincoln, his one true love with whom he shared a very special and unforgettable life, his son Robert Perette, Jr. and his wife Helena of Memphis, his brother Jonny Perette and his wife Beth of Scituate, two brothers Michael and Joseph, and his beloved nieces and nephews, Michael, Julie, Katie, Jeff, Jenna and Piper. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert J. and Marilyn (Pitts) Perette and his nephew Matthew.

Anyone lucky enough to know Bob will remember his energy, talent, tenacity and larger than life spirit. A true legend and “what you see is what you get” guy who worked hard, played hard and wanted it full throttle or nothing. He had a passion for anything that burned fuel and went fast - cars, boats, motorcycles, dirt bikes, go-karts; if it could be driven, he was behind the wheel. He was a brilliant inventor with a mind that never seemed to rest. Bob started multiple successful businesses utilizing his incredible skills with both cars and boats. His most prized achievement was his design of a unique twin v boat, the Night Cat, for which he was awarded U.S. Patents and sold to military and law enforcement agencies for patrol and protection of our waterways.

Bob’s heart was just as big as his work ethic. He was a mentor and a friend to so many and consistently rooted for the underdog. Throughout his years, he had the opportunity to touch more lives than most and was a better man for it. His sense of humor made stories worth telling and life more fun. And while the world is now a little slower, and a whole lot less interesting, the memories he leaves behind will keep our hearts running for years to come.

Bob would say, “Don’t feel bad for me when I’m gone, I lived the life of a rock star!” In that memory, please join us for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Weathervane, 117 Clubhouse Drive, Weymouth. Doors will be open from 4-8.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brigham and Women’s Hospital Cardiovascular Unit, in recognition of the surgeons, doctors, and nurses whose expertise and dedication enabled Bob to live the fulfilling life he and we all treasured.
