Robert Brace “Toby” Reed passed away on March 20, 2026.
A unique, generous, and deeply talented individual, Toby was known for a distinct fashion sense and a vibrant presence that could light up any room. Rarely seen without a cigar in hand, Toby carried an unmistakable style and confidence that friends came to cherish. A great friend to many, Toby offered wisdom and thoughtful advice freely, always accompanied by humor and unforgettable laughter.
Toby was the longtime companion of the late "Little" Marilyn Vardaro, lovingly referred to as “Honey Bunny,” a bond remembered with affection by all who knew them.
At home, Toby found comfort and joy in a personal sanctuary affectionately known as “Castle Go‑Away,” also called the “Fortress of Solitude,” a place that reflected independence, personality, and a love of quiet enjoyment.
Deeply involved in the Masonic community, Toby served as Past Master of Palestine Masonic Lodge and was proudly known as the “Big Daddy” of Delta Masonic Lodge, roles carried out with dedication, pride, and heart.
A musician who appreciated rhythm and creative expression, Toby shared a love of music that added to a life rich in character and connection.
Toby is survived by many dear friends, a brother, Peter Reed and family, and a beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Jones. Toby will be remembered for kindness, individuality, loyalty, and a life lived with style, music, and warmth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4/16/2026 from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).
