Roger Larson, 84, of Weymouth, MA passed away on October 17, 2026, at Harbor House in Hingham, MA in the company of his loving daughters.

A lifelong athlete, educator, coach, devoted husband, and beloved grandfather, Roger leaves behind a legacy of love and lessons that will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

Roger graduated from Weymouth High School in 1960, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. His passion for sports continued into college, where he played football at Northeastern University. Following his graduation, he began a career in education and athletics, accepting a position at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, where he taught physical education and coached football. He later continued his coaching career at Holbrook High School.

Throughout his years as an educator and coach, Roger shared his love of sports with generations of students and his family, enjoying many days golfing with his wife and friends. His influence extended far beyond the playing field, teaching valuable lessons about discipline, hard work, perseverance, and character. These lessons became an enduring part of his legacy, particularly for the grandchildren who looked up to him and carried his guidance into their own lives.

In 1961, Roger married his high school sweetheart Lee, beginning a marriage and life together that spanned decades. Though she passed away before him, the love they shared remained an important part of his life. There is comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

Above all, Roger treasured his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. He was a constant presence in their lives, a trusted mentor, their biggest supporter, and someone they could always turn to for guidance. Whether it was early morning wake-up calls for hockey, road trips filled with memories, time spent playing sports together, or the everyday moments that became treasured stories over the years, he made an immeasurable impact on the people he loved most. He took pride in watching his grandchildren grow, and the lessons he taught them about sports, school, work, and life will remain with them always.

Roger is survived by his brother, Russell, and his wife, Debby, of Plymouth; his daughters, Sharon and her husband, PJ, of Weymouth, Lynn of Weymouth, and Amy and her husband, Paul, of Weymouth; his grandchildren, Paul and his wife, Lauren, of Rockland, Michael and his wife, Maegan, of Whitman, Kristina and her husband, Myles, of Weymouth, Samantha of Weymouth, and Julia and Joshua of Weymouth; and his great-granddaughter, Marina, of Rockland. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Larson.

Roger will be remembered for the lasting influence he had on his family and friends. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, the values he instilled and the memories he created will continue to be carried forward for generations to come.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square).

Interment is private.
