Schuck, Russell A. of Hingham, passed away suddenly August 19, 2017.
Russell was a resident of Hingham for the past 17 years. He was a geologist, Vice President at Haley Aldrich, Boston, MA. Russell loved anything outdoors; fishing, golfing, skiing. He also enjoyed music, cooking, barbecuing. He was an enthusiastic New York Jets fan. His family and friends were the cornerstone of his life.
He was born in White Plains, NY to Monica Schuck Gibson and the late Russell F. Schuck. Beloved husband to Alison Schuck (Keating) of Hingham. Cherished father to Trevor, Caroline and Sydney. Caring brother to Monica Cullen (Dennis) of Maplewood, NJ, Christine Long (Joe) of McLean, VA. Son-in-law to Carole Keating and the late John C. Keating of Darien, CT. Loving brother-in-law to Claire Strupp (Joe) of Maplewood, NJ and Jill Brannigan (Peter), John Keating (Amy) and Bill Keating (Sarah) of Darien, CT. He was a fun loving and dedicated uncle to Monica, Grace, Mary, Jeanne, Roy Cullen; Michael, Stephanie, Kevin Long; Cloey and Cole Strupp; Owen, Aidan, PK, and Teddy Brannigan; Charlie and Tess Keating; Mac, Will and Annie Keating.
He graduated from John Jay High School in Katonah, NY. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in geology from Hartwick College and a Master of Science degree in geology and water resources from the University of Vermont.
Visitation hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham. The Funeral Mass will be at the Church of the Resurrection, Hingham on Thursday at 10 am. Donations in memory of Russell may be made to South Shore SNAP (Special Needs Athletic Partnership).www.hinghamsports.com
