Sally May McCusker

Sally May McCusker (Dolan), 89, of Quincy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie and a friend to all. She passed away peacefully after a period of failing health on July 10, 2025. Born on August 18, 1935, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Sally moved to North Quincy with her family in the early 1940s. She graduated from North Quincy High School in 1953, and married Don McCusker, the love of her life. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family and she poured her heart into raising her five boys. Sally was a faithful parishioner of St. Agatha’s in Milton and Sacred Heart in North Quincy, and she was very active in the community. She volunteered at Quincy Hospital, and at the Naval Terrace retirement community. 

Sally is united with her heavenly family and welcomed home by her husband Don, Son Michael, Granddaughter Kat and her parents, Arthur and Irene (Thayer) Dolan and sisters Patricia Cray and Phylis Dolan. She is survived by her sons, Jim McCusker and his wife Jacqui of Murrieta, CA, Brian McCusker and his wife Michelle of Braintree, Tom McCusker and his wife Eileen of Sandwich, Matt McCusker and his wife Carol of Hanover, Daughter-in-Law Barbara McCusker of Hingham, and many grand and great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 17th at 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy on Friday, July 18th at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Sally’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
