Salvator Masmalaj of Quincy, passed away on April 8, 2026. Originally from Bërdicë, Albania. The devoted husband of 42 years to Vera (Palushi) Masmalaj of Quincy. Loving father of Kristjan Palushi of Abington and Eltonjo Palushi of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Luani and Meko. Brother of Matia, Pashuk, Gjergji, Biku, Neta and Roza and the late Luçja, Age and Deda. Brother-in-law of Paulin Palushi and Irena (Kola) Palushi, Vida & Tonin Bishkashi and the late Liza Rroku. Sal is also survived by countless nieces and nephews. Salvator was the owner of Sal’s Hardwood Flooring and Tile. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a very social person, who enjoyed just talking and meeting new people. He loved to tell jokes, playing Domina with his wife Vera, dressing up with his family and enjoying nights out with them, but most of all, playing with his granddaughter Luani, for whom he cherished dearly. Sal also worked as a waiter at Rapheal’s in Quincy for many years, a job he truly loved because he was able to meet so many people, as well as bring joy to them. You could usually find him in the backyard in a white t- shirt and shorts grilling countless steaks, especially when he had people over, and he would bring everyone to tears of laughter while doing so. Sal will be remembered as a hard working man with a strong work ethic. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, and remembered by the immeasurable amount of love he had for his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday April 22, 2026 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday, April 23, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will occur in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy
