Listen to Obituary

King, Selina M., of Weymouth, originally from Fox Harbour, Newfoundland, Canada, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026 among family both near and far.

Selina lived with courage and conviction, standing up for what she believed in. She was a strong voice and advocate for women’s rights and social justice. She was an immensely intelligent woman, earning several degrees in her field as a nurse, then becoming a nurse practitioner serving at the Veterans Administration. Selina cherished her family deeply, keeping close connections with loved ones both here at home and across the border in Canada. Selina and her wife, Carol, shared a love of travel and treasured the memories they made together, from visiting family in Canada to exploring Alaska and enjoying cruises to beautiful destinations. Selina was a strong woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Selina is predeceased by her wife Carol Templeton, parents William and Mary (Duke) King, and siblings William, Patrick, Thomas, Jack, Gerald, Rita, Michael, Jimmy, Jean, Mary, and Elizabeth. She is survived by her siblings Leonard King, and Nellie (Ellen) McCue. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 8:30-9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).
