Shirley was born on October 12, 1934 and proudly raised in Quincy, graduating from Quincy High School class of 1952. She grew up climbing on the rocks on Parker Street, skating on Scotch Pond, and loved local history. She adored her family, especially her grandson, who was truly the light of her life. Shirley loved the summer and spending time at the beach in Truro. She enjoyed cooking, particularly foods from her Portuguese, Swedish, and “adopted” Italian heritage, shopping, and gardening. Prior to being a homemaker, she worked for Bethlehem Steel, Stop and Shop Corporate, and the Truro Chamber of Commerce information booth. Shirley loved jazz music and was always supportive of her husband’s musical career. She was a strong, loving and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
