Simard, Stella (Maskiewicz) of Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the age of 95.
She was born in Newburyport MA on January 1, 1918. She was raised and educated in Nashua, NH and remained there with her loving husband Roger where they raised their two daughters. She was a women of faith and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Stella enjoyed making fudge, doing crosswords, and summering at Lake Winnipesaukee. She spent the last 22 years of her life close to her family in Hingham, MA.
Stella was predeceased by her beloved husband Roger in 1983. She is survived by her two loving daughters Cheryl Simard and her husband Wess Chauncey of Moultonborough NH, Leslie McDonald and her husband Joseph of Weymouth MA, her siblings Jean Makris, Helen Paulenka, Edward Maskiewicz, Stanley Maesk, and the late Walter Maskiewicz. Stella is also survived by her five grandchildren Tamara, Timothy, Todd, Colleen, Allyson and her three great-grandchildren Teo, Olivia, and Katlyn.
Stella’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth MA. They provided Stella with an extremely high level of care and warmth during her time with them.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church (27 Library St. Hudson, NH) on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10 AM. Interment to immediately follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella’s memory to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
