Panesis, Steven K. of Quincy, formerly Hyannis died April 18, 2016
Steven attended Deerfield Academy, Cape Cod Prep, Colgate University, and has his BS and MS from Northeastern University in criminal justice. He excelled academically and was involved in extensive research at Northeastern. He worked as a mental health counselor for a group home and was dedicated to his career. Steven loved helping others, especially children. He was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed all Boston sports. He loved music, especially the Beatles, and even wrote for the band “Heavy Metal Horns”. Steven also wrote poetry, played cribbage with his father, and bingo at the nursing home. He enjoyed swimming and being on the shores of Nantasket beach with friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. Steven will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Son of the late Angelo and Helena (Kirkiles) Panesis. Cherished brother of James Panesis and his wife Cathy of Peabody. Dear friend of Leslie Neil of Randolph and Donna Teed of Randolph. Loving uncle of Elena Panesis and her fiancé Daryl Grafton, Evan Panesis and his wife Dion, and Cali Panesis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral home service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Steven may be made to American Parkinson Disease Assoc., 72 East Concord St. – C3, Boston, MA 02118 or a charity of your choice.
