Stilianos "Stanley" Nicholas Katsikis passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, after a long and well-lived life, leaving a legacy marked by devotion to family, deep-rooted traditions, and countless cherished memories. He was married to the love of his life, Despina Katsikis for 64 years until her passing in 2022.
Born on May 22, 1936, Stanley was a proud pillar of his family and community, known and loved for his kind heart, steadfast values, and the joy he found in the company of his loved ones.
Stanley’s life was filled with warmth and vibrancy. He delighted in simple pleasures, especially his treasured trips to the casinos. He had a love of food and cooking and enjoyed bringing the family together for delicious meals and lively gatherings. Stanley entertained by playing his favorite Greek instrument the bouzouki. Time spent hunting with his brother and sons were some of his fondest memories.
Stanley loved to travel. However, it was his family—his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild—that truly brought him the deepest happiness. He was a devoted father to Nicholas Katsikis and his wife Lisa of Hanover, and James Katsikis and his wife Tess of Andover. A beloved Papou to Kristina, Nicholas, Jr., Angela, Stephen, and James. and his great-grandchild, Mila.
Stanley leaves behind his siblings Adamantia Papamarkou, Moshoula Kambanis, Mihali Katsikis, and Eleftheria Stratis, God children Maria Kambonis Alexandris, Christine Aftosmes, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet Stanley’s family during the visiting hours on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St, Braintree, MA. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Stanley will be laid to rest at Hanover Center Cemetery.
Stanley’s memory is a blessing and his legacy continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable life.
