Norton, Susan L., of Abington, passed away on February 9, 2026, at South Shore Hospital. She was 51 years old.

Born on December 20, 1974, in Quincy to John and Nancy Crowley, Susan spent her formative years in Marshfield, where she developed a deep-rooted love for nature and the simple pleasures of life.

Susan was a proud graduate of Marshfield High School and later continued her studies at Curry College. She had a lifelong passion for yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to health that was highlighted by her love for crystals and healing. Her radiant energy was evident to all who knew her, especially when she was immersed in her favorite activities, such as dancing in her home and listening to country music, which she approached with the same joy and care that she applied to every aspect of her life.

Susan will be remembered most for her ability to light up a room with her laughter and for her innate gift for caring deeply for those around her. She was an avid reader who later embraced the world of audiobooks. She would listen to romantic comedies such as To All the Boys I've Loved Before and thrillers written by Fredia McFadden.

Her spirit of volunteerism shone brightly in her hometown of Marshfield, where she gave generously of her time for causes close to her heart. Those who knew Susan can attest to her profound love for plants and the outdoors, which found her seeking adventure through hikes and walks in the beautiful landscapes of Vermont, or simply relishing the tranquil moments spent at the beach with her family.

Winter's cold never deterred Susan, who bravely participated in the annual Polar Plunge, an event that combined her love for the community and zest for life. Her home was often filled with the laughter and warmth of romantic comedy movie nights shared with her cherished daughter, Taylor, a tradition that epitomized her ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures.

Susan's legacy is one of love, kindness, and humor; a guiding light for all who had the privilege to cross her path. Her unwavering positivity and the infectious joy she brought to every encounter will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Susan is survived by her mother Nancy Crowley of Abington, her loving children Arthur Norton III of Rockland and Taylor Norton of Rockland and Abington. Sister to Patrick Crowley and his wife Karen Bradbury of Rhode Island and aunt of Michael Crowley, Dayna Crowley, and Daniel Crowley. Also survived by many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
