Warren “War” O. Sines Jr, known as “Warberry" to his cherished loved ones, died peacefully from complex medical issues on July 1, 2025.
He was born in Wilmington, Delaware January 1, 1959. He was the beloved son of Shirley Ann Sampson Sines and Warren “Sonny” Sines Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Michele Rose (Ford) Sines and his stepchildren Sarah and Daniel Ford, as well as his 3 cats and dog. War leaves behind many cherished cousins on the Sampson-Sines side. War is also survived by his brother in law Gregory Rose and his wife Marcia Rose of Braintree. Also survived by several nephews and nieces including Alison Rose Bray and her husband Daniel of Braintree Andrew Rose and his fiancee Krystie of Hanover, Michael Rose and his wife Kelsey of Abington and 2 special people “ niece and nephew “ Cole and Carissa Corcoran of Hanover. Also survived by his dear Uncle Howard Stetler of New Hampshire and an Uncle Charles Kidney Sr.
He went to Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA, where he met his beloved wife, Michele. He also attended Quincy Junior College in Quincy, MA, majoring in Business. He worked many jobs including Thayer Pharmacy in Braintree where he was a manager. But his passion was working in the automobile industry. He worked for Foley Chrysler and Bob’s Speed in Quincy for many years being a parts delivery driver. War was an avid gardener and had his own lawn care side business primarily in the Hough’s Neck area. His other passion was traveling with Michele to Bermuda, Florida, Las Vegas, and New Hampshire. He also was a passionate advocate for animals and animal welfare and volunteered briefly with the Quincy Animal Shelter but had to stop volunteering due to illness. He enjoyed growing up in Hough’s Neck and was a proud “Neckah”. He loved fast cars and especially Mopar cars. In high school he was lucky enough to have 2 prestigious classic cars including a ‘57 Chevy Bel-Air and a ‘70 Tri-Color Dodge Challenger with a built-in Hemi. He also loved his ‘03 Dodge Ram with a Hemi.
He also especially loved and adored his cats. He was known as the “cat whisperer” and raised, loved, and helped many cats over his lifetime.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 7/8/2025 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Memorial Prayer Service will be on July 9th at 11 AM at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Quincy Animal Shelter and/or the MSPCA.
