William J. Welch

Welch, William J. of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, September 28, 2006. Husband of the late Katherine (Kelly) Welch. Father of John “Jack” Welch and Karen M. & her husband Peter Ryan, all of Quincy. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the graveside service on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 10 AM at Pine Hill Cemetery, Willard St., Quincy. Mr. Welch served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of Local #4 of Operating Engineers for over 50 years. He worked as a crane operator for many years and retired in 1981.
