Reel, William E. of Weymouth, passed away on May 16, 2026. He was 67 years old.

Born aboard, he was one of seven children born to John Joseph and Angela Josephine Reel.

Bill lived a life marked by devotion to the people and places he loved. He had a deep appreciation for Weymouth and took pride in being part of the community he called home. He was the kind of person who made others feel welcome, and his easygoing nature and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Bill had a heart of gold, and that goodness showed in the way he treated others, in the friendships he built, and in the love he gave so freely throughout his life.

A proud veteran, Bill held his service close to his heart and carried that sense of duty and honor with him always. He loved airplanes and fighter jets from the military, and that admiration reflected the respect he had for service, strength, and the skies above. His interests were wide-ranging and full of energy, and he found joy in the things that brought people together. He was an umpire for softball, and he enjoyed being part of the game in a way that connected him to the players, the action, and the spirit of competition. He was also an avid golfer and a goalie for hockey, both of which suited his love of sports and his competitive nature.

Bill was a devoted fan of Boston sports, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox. He followed them with enthusiasm and pride, sharing in the highs and lows that come with being a loyal supporter. Sports were more than entertainment to him. They were part of the rhythm of his life, something he enjoyed discussing, watching, and celebrating with others. He also loved music, with a taste that ranged from classic rock to Tupac, reflecting a personality that appreciated both timeless favorites and powerful expression.

Above all else, Bill was a great father and an amazing friend. He treasured time spent with Billy on the weekends, and those moments meant the world to him. Whether they were going to softball or simply spending time with friends, Bill found happiness in being present and making memories. He valued companionship, conversation, and shared experiences, and he had a special way of making ordinary moments feel meaningful. His friendship was steady and sincere, and those who knew him will remember his humor, his spirit, and the comfort of his company.

William E. Reel will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude by all who knew him.
