Yolanda E. Galvin

Galvin, Yolanda E. (Cordaro) of Hingham, formerly of Hull, died April 13, 2016.  

Yolanda received the most enjoyment in life by taking care of her loving family, and her career.  She was the administrative assistant to the Admiral at the U.S. Coast Guard Station, in Boston, for over 20 years.  She and her late husband John used to enjoy traveling and attending shows at the Music Circus.  A civic minded woman, Yolanda was president of the Hingham Women’s Club, active in the AARP, Hingham Senior Citizens, and TV Workshop in Norwell.  She will be remembered as a loving, generous, hard working, and selfless person who was always willing to help those in need. 

Beloved wife of the late John B. Galvin.  Loving mother of Elaine F. Player of Weymouth, John W. Galvin of Quincy, and the late Francine B. Palumbo.  Sister of the late Reno, Mel, Arthur, and Joseph Cordaro, and Margaret O’Neil & Josephine Conway.  Grandmother to George M. Player, Laura E. Palumbo, Kevin M. Player, and Shaun M. Galvin.  Great grandmother to George A. Player and Caitlin Player.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph.
