Barbara M. (Bezanson) DeSantis of Kingston, formerly of Quincy, died unexpectedly on April 29, 2021.

The beloved mother of  Deanne Pettinelli and her husband Richard of Kingston. Daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Cann) Bezanson.  Loving sister of Polly Bezanson of Hingham and Sue Leary and her husband John of Scituate and the late Lowell Bezanson. Daughter in law of the late Frederick and Marion DeSantis. Former wife of Frederick DeSantis, Jr. of Plymouth. Sister in law of Dennis DeSantis of Weymouth. Barbara also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Barbara grew up in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School Class of 1963. She worked at Stetson Shoe for many years, and later as a chiropractic assistant.   Barbara enjoyed taking care of others and volunteered helping the elderly. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved grand-dogs Tessi and Rosi. She will be remembered as a devoted mother to her only daughter Deanne, whom she cherished. Barbara will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday at 11am.  Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
