Daniel D. Foley

Daniel D. Foley, formerly of Mission Hill and Abington, passed away April 6, 2021.

Dan proudly served in the US Army in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion 327 Mission Hill. He was very proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed reading Irish history and visiting family and friends in County Kerry. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and trying his luck on the horses at the track. Dan was also incredibly generous, often donating to a variety of charities.   

Beloved husband of 56 years to Patricia (McCarthy) Foley of Middleboro. Devoted father of Colleen Foley-Lunt and her husband Stephen of Lakeville and Daniel Foley and his wife Tina of Marshfield. Cherished Papa of Matthew, Jordyn, Ryan, Sarah and Jessica. Loving brother of Geraldine Rezendes of Hyde Park, Anna Foley of Roslindale, Helen Watson of FL and the late Mary Foley. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Boston’s Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) at 10 AM.

Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daniel may be made to Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
