Dorothy M. (Belliveau) Schatzl, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died April 17, 2021. Dorothy was the quintessential homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her family and home. She enjoyed her soap operas, word searches and catching up with friends on the phone. She will be sorely missed. 

Beloved wife of the late George E. Schatzl, Sr. Devoted mother of George E. Schatzl and his wife Sandra of Attleboro, Dorothy Foley and her late husband Dennis of Weymouth, Michael Schatzl and his wife Connie of East Bridgewater, John Schatzl and his wife Donna of FL and the late Debra Garden and her husband Christopher of Weymouth. Cherished Nana of 11 grandchildren and Big Nana to 12 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). 

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. 

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
