Edward J. Malone, of Rockland, formerly of Weymouth, died January 16, 2021.
Ed worked as a truck driver and rigger and heavy hauler for many years including over 20 years as a Teamster. He was very active in the community including being a Son of the American Legion in Rockland, board member of the Rockland Sr. Center and was a Chaplin with Rockland Mens Club. Ed also held memberships with Council on Aging, New Beginnings, Weymouth Elks and CIA (Castle Island Association). He was the best Papa ever and loved every second he spent with his grandchildren and he enjoyed attending their sporting events. He also enjoyed camping, Singo, watching football and walking his dog Brewski. Ed was full of life, generous, selfless, well loved and had a great sense of humor.
Beloved husband of the late Paula (Saggese) Malone and sweetheart and best friend of Linda Raulinaitis of Rockland. Devoted father of Laura Hickey of Weymouth, Karen Gardner and her husband Billy of Hanover and the late Brian Malone. Cherished Papa of Veronica, Billy, Tedy and Ryan. Loving brother of the late Francis and Alfred Malone.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
The funeral service on Thursday will be private but will be available by live stream by clicking here at 10:30 AM- FUNERAL SERVICE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
