Eileen F. Devonshire

Eileen Devonshire of Hanson, formerly of Braintree and Dorchester, passed away suddenly at the age of 76 on May 2, 2021. Eileen was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Devonshire. Eileen was full of life and will be missed terribly. Eileen dedicated 36 years of her life to Federal Government service which included working for the Army, Air Force, Department of Defense and Office of Personnel Management. She ended her career as the Special Agent in Charge of the Boston Field Office, Federal Investigative Services Division. She received numerous accolades and awards over the years including the Meritorious Civilian Services Award. She retired from service in 2006. She was well respected and was a leader. After her retirement Eileen loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She loved golfing and traveling. She was the life of the party and loved to laugh.

Eileen is survived by her sisters, Margaret O’Brien of Braintree, Dorothy Martin of Greenville RI and Carol Smith of Murrells Inlet SC. She was the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by brothers John and Robert Devonshire.

As Eileen stated “I’ve lived a terrific life and loved all of you and all of the great times and laughs”.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 10 AM.
