Isobel T. Flynn

Isobel T. (Saponaro) Flynn of Weymouth, died January 29, 2021.

Isobel was active in Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth as a catechism teacher, and greeter. She volunteered at the Weymouth Food Pantry. She loved children and worked as a teacher at the Art Linkletter Preschool. She then earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood and became the director of the YMCA Preschool as well as The Country Academy Early Childhood Center, all in Weymouth. Her career spanned over 20 years. She loved to explore and traveled all over the world with her husband, sister and catholic travel group. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and was happiest when helping those around her. She will be deeply missed.  

Beloved wife of the late James F. Flynn. Devoted mother of Tommy Flynn and his partner Sachiko Fukumoto of New York and James Flynn and his wife Vickie of Greenfield. Loving sister of Phyllis Davis of Hull and the late Rosemary Ross, Rob, William and Paul Saponaro. Cherished grandmother of Gabriel Barber and his wife Elizabeth, Jonathan Flynn, Angeline Flynn and her partner Kris Diemand and great-grandchildren Joe, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Chance and Violet. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Isobel’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the link above and sharing a message or memory.
