Marjorie Ann Lewis

Marjorie Ann Lewis, of Milton, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Milton Hospital. She was 89.

Born in Boston on June 23, 1931, she was raised in Dorchester and was the cherished daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Duffley) Lewis. She attended local schools and graduated from Hyde Park High School with the Class of 1951. After high school, Marjorie’s career was spent working in the insurance industry as an insurance underwriter. She enjoyed her work and the relationships she built throughout the years.

In her spare time, Marjorie loved working outside in the yard and tending to her garden. She also enjoyed watching the ball game, doing crossword puzzles, and going to all her nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews extracurricular activities. Marjorie summered in Harwich on Cape Cod which she referred to as her “tribal vacations pack of nine”.

Marjorie was the Devoted sister of Rosemary Lewis of Milton, the late Edith Lewis, the late John Lewis, the late Helen DesRoches, the late William Lewis, the late Ruth Peshin, the late Marie Lewis and the late Paul Lewis. She was the loving aunt of 17 nieces and nephews, nine grand nieces and nephews and seven great grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton.

Services conclude with interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
