Robert J. Carolan

Robert Carolan, 80 of Plaistow, NH passed away peacefully  Saturday, May 8.

Bob was born to the late Martin and Mae (Creeghan) Carolan in Jersey City, NJ and was raised in Winthrop and Stoneham. He graduated from Boston University, served as an Air Force Captain with a command in Vietnam, and taught auto mechanics at Portsmouth High School. Bob was an amatuer racecar driver, volunteer flagger, president of the Plaistow Historical Society, docent at  Larz Anderson Museum, Historian for American Legion Post #34, and community theater actor.

Bob will be remembered as an amazing storyteller who made people smile with his pure Irish charm.

Devoted father of Wendy Mastronardi (Paul) of Melrose, and Amy Speer (Michael) of Winter Haven, FL. Loving grandfather to Jeffrey and Benjamin Badger, Sawyer, Justin and Sean Speer (and family). Remembered lovingly by Vicki Kaufman and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Eileen Gordon and George Carolan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the wake on Saturday, June 26 from 11 AM-12 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26, at 12 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
