Veteran

William J. Elms, III

Mr. William J. Elms, III, of Weymouth, passed away on January 15, 2021.

Bill loved collecting old bus memorabilia, especially from Eastern Mass Bus Lines, which is where his father worked. Bill also loved his dogs, which were all dobermans, that him and his wife Maureen had throughout the years. But Bill’s favorite times were spent with his family, dining out at nice restaurants or preparing meals for his family at home. Those times were always the most special to him and were always spent with so much laughter.

Beloved husband of Maureen F. (Harkins). Loving father of Colleen M. Elms and her fiance, Bobby Craig of Brockton, and William Elms of Seattle, WA. Brother of Robert Elms and his wife, Elaine, of Weymouth. Grandfather of Tyler Craig.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 6-8pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at Friday at 10 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with William’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above
